The 2016 Huntington Area Early Childhood Conference (HAECC) is coming to the Big Sandy Superstore Arena & Conference Center in downtown Huntington, WV April 28th & 29th, 2016. Plan now to attend the Tri-states centralized conference location for advocating and expanding our early childhood education systems and practices with adjoining states Kentucky & Ohio. This conference brings together a well-balanced agenda for early childhood practitioners, business leaders, and policymakers, for presentations on topics that impact early care and education.
On Thursday, April 28th, Family Child Care owners across the Tri State are hosting a National NAFCC Scholarship fund raising event entitled WALK the TALK .This is an Early Childhood Community event to raise funds for scholarships and quality improvements in programming and accreditation opportunities for family child care programs and staff. The walk and family Fun events including games, vendors, and snacks will be setup in the Chesapeake Ohio City Park pavilion and will kick off from 6-8 pm on Thursday, April 28th. We hope to have multiple family child care programs and community organizations walk with us. Our grand master will be Pete the Cat, and we hope to be joined by the Senate and House of Representatives and others representing WV, OH, and KY.
